The Rushes Were A London-Based Band From 2000 To 2009. Their Use Of Piano Clear Vocals And Inventive Rhythms Set Them Apart From Similar Rock / Indie Acts.
Whilst Signed To Island Records They Recorded Nearly 2 Albums Worth Of Material However Little Of This Was Officially Released. Their First Album Was To Be Called "To The Surface" And Was Originally Intended To Be Released ~March 2009. Pre-Release Versions Were Circulated And Are In Some Cases Available Over The Web. Unfortunately Despite Its Clean And Catchy Sound The Album Is Unlikely To Ever See Official Release.
