The Direct Hits Were Formed In Battersea /Tooting Wandsworth And Released Their First Single MODESTY BLAISE On Whaamm Records. After Releasing Another Single And An Album BLOW UP In The Autumn Of 1984 They Were Heavily Ensconsed In The Mod Revival Then Morphed Slightly Toward Pyschedelia With The Release Of Their Second Album.THE HOUSE OF SECRETS On Their Own Label FORBIDDEN RECORDS. Then Another Single Appeared SHE REALLY DIDNT CARE Followed By Rave Reviews In The Indie Press. After Three Tours Of Germany The Band Finally Split After Making Their Last Appearance At The Mod Aid Concert At Walthamstow Town Hall. The Band Continue To Earn Respect From Other Similar Artists And Several Bands Have Admitted To Being Influenced By THE DIRECT HITS. They Hold The Dubvious Record Of Having The Longest Running
