There Are At Least Two Bands Called The Odds. 1. Formed In 1978 The Odds Were A British New Wave / Ska Band From Hull Yorkshire United Kingdom Fronted By Simon 'Sam' Leyland. Their Début Single 'Saturday Night' 1979 Was The First Release On Red Rhino Records. This Was Followed By A Ska Version Of 'Yesterday Man' 1980 And A Third Single Called 'Dread In My Bed'. There Were Line-Up Changes For Every Single Leyland Was Always There. Guitarist And Saxophonist On 'Saturday Night' Was Stewart Matthewman Who Left In 1980 Teamed Up With A Singer Called Artist}Sade /artist And Co-Wrote Many Of Her Biggest Hits. 2. The Sound Of The Odds Is Brought To You By Four Musicians Drawing Influence From A Diverse Array Of Bands And Artists From The Last 60 Years. They Initially Formed In 2005. 2009 Saw A Collection Of Profile Gigs And Small Festivals Around The United Kingdom. They Are Past Winners Of The British 'Battle Of The Bands' Final.
