My Chemical Romance Is An American Rock Band From New Jersey United States Formed In 2001. The Band Consists Of Lead Vocalist Gerard Way Guitarists Ray Toro Frank Iero And Bassist Mikey Way. Shortly After Forming The Band Signed To Eyeball Records And Released Their Debut Album I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love In 2002. They Signed With Reprise Records The Next Year And Released Their Major Label Debut Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge In 2004 The Album Was A Commercial Success And Was Awarded Platinum Status A Little Over A Year Later. The Band Eclipsed Their Previous Success With Their 2006 Concept Album The Black Parade Which Gained Generally Favorable Reviews Among Music Critics. Their Fourth Studio Album Danger Days The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys Was Released On November 22 2010 To Positive Reviews. The Band's Final Release In Their Original Run Were A Series Of Singles Released Over The Course Of Five Months Collected On The Compilation Conventional Weapons. The Band Announced Its Break-Up On March 22 2013 One Month After The Final Release In The Conventional Weapons Series. On March 25 2014 The Band Released May Death Never Stop You The Greatest Hits 2001–2013 A Greatest Hits Album Containing Material Spanning Their Entire Career As Well As Some Previously Unreleased Material. On Halloween Of 2019 The Band Announced A Comeback Show In Los Angeles California And Fans Speculated That There Was More To It Than Just A Show. On November 5 Three More Shows Were Confirmed In Australia New Zealand And Japan. On January 29 2020 Eighteen Additional Dates Were Announced In North America.
On May 12 2022 The Band Released The Foundations Of Decay Solidifying Their Return As A Band.

We Wanted Something I Think We Wanted ‘The End’ To Feel A Little Bit Like The Beginning Of Pink Floyd’s "The Wall" There’s A Song Called “In The Flesh? ” With A Question Mark Because It Reprises Later In The Record. We Wanted It To Feel Very Much Like That Kind Of Beginning That You Were About To Get Taken On A Journey And I Think That’s Why That Song Is So Big And It Tells A Story Right Away. In the opening track to the dramatic album "The Black Parade", Gerard Way is beginning to take a new approach to everyone’s attitude towards him. He has broken badly and stopped caring about what anyone thinks. He refuses to live his life to the expectations of others and acts on his own terms.
In “MCR Welcomes You To The Black Parade,” a commentary featured on the deluxe edition of the album, frontman Gerard Way says:
"‘The End’ was basically the song where, I think, we, when we butted that up against ‘Dead!’ we realized we were making a really theatrical record that was also gonna be very big. We wanted something, I think we wanted ‘The End’ to feel a little bit like the beginning of [Pink Floyd’s] "The Wall", there’s a song called “In The Flesh?,” [with a] question mark because it reprises later in the record. We wanted it to feel very much like that kind of beginning, that you were about to get taken on a journey, and I think that’s why that song is so big, and it tells a story right away. I think it just kind of pulls you in the story."
Guitarist Ray Toro adds:
"That song definitely set the tone of the record, you know, the entire record. We had written it in New York at S.I.R. The Black Parade Is The Third Studio Album By My Chemical Romance. Released On October 24 2006 Through Reprise Records It Was Produced By Rob Cavallo Known For Having Produced Multiple Albums For Goo Goo Dolls And Green Day. It Is A Rock Opera Centering On A Dying Character With Cancer Known As "The Patient". The Album Tells The Story Of His Apparent Death Experiences In The Afterlife And Subsequent Reflection On His Life. Four Singles Were Released From The Album "Welcome To The Black Parade" "Famous Last Words" "I Don't Love You" And "Teenagers". The Black Parade Has Received Generally Favorable Reviews And The Band Achieved Its First Number 1 Single In The UK With "Welcome To The Black Parade". The Album Debuted At Number Two On Both The Billboard 200 And The UK Albums Chart And Is Also Certified As Platinum By The RIAA As Well As A Platinum Certification In The UK And A Gold Certificacion In Argentina By The CAPIF And In Chile By The IFPI Chile. The Black Parade Was Given The Platinum Europe Award By The International Federation Of The Phonographic Industry For 1 Million Sales In Europe.
