My Chemical Romance Is An American Rock Band From New Jersey United States Formed In 2001. The Band Consists Of Lead Vocalist Gerard Way Guitarists Ray Toro Frank Iero And Bassist Mikey Way. Shortly After Forming The Band Signed To Eyeball Records And Released Their Debut Album I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love In 2002. They Signed With Reprise Records The Next Year And Released Their Major Label Debut Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge In 2004 The Album Was A Commercial Success And Was Awarded Platinum Status A Little Over A Year Later. The Band Eclipsed Their Previous Success With Their 2006 Concept Album The Black Parade Which Gained Generally Favorable Reviews Among Music Critics. Their Fourth Studio Album Danger Days The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys Was Released On November 22 2010 To Positive Reviews. The Band's Final Release In Their Original Run Were A Series Of Singles Released Over The Course Of Five Months Collected On The Compilation Conventional Weapons. The Band Announced Its Break-Up On March 22 2013 One Month After The Final Release In The Conventional Weapons Series. On March 25 2014 The Band Released May Death Never Stop You The Greatest Hits 2001–2013 A Greatest Hits Album Containing Material Spanning Their Entire Career As Well As Some Previously Unreleased Material. On Halloween Of 2019 The Band Announced A Comeback Show In Los Angeles California And Fans Speculated That There Was More To It Than Just A Show. On November 5 Three More Shows Were Confirmed In Australia New Zealand And Japan. On January 29 2020 Eighteen Additional Dates Were Announced In North America.

"Teenagers" is the fourth single and the eleventh track from My Chemical Romance's third studio album, The Black Parade. It is the third U.S. single from the album, but it is the fourth single released in the UK, the Philippines, Australia and Canada. This song is the band's eleventh overall single. It was made available for download for the Xbox 360's Guitar Hero II game on August 15, 2007, along with "Famous Last Words", and "This Is How I Disappear", adding to their song shipped with the game, "Dead!".
Gerard Way is quoted as saying that he wrote the song after finding himself in a New York subway car full of high schoolers: "That was the first time I felt old...I was nervous and I was a target. I felt like I had become a parent figure or part of the problem."
About the relationship between the song and concerns about gun violence, Way said:
“That song almost didn't fit on the record but it's a topic that's so important to our culture. It's about a really big problem in America where kids are killing kids. The only thing I learned in high school is that people are very violent and territorial.”

It Is A Rock Opera Centering On A Dying Character With Cancer Known As "The Patient". The Album Tells The Story Of His Apparent Death Experiences In The Afterlife And Subsequent Reflection On His Life. Four Singles Were Released From The Album "Welcome To The Black Parade" "Famous Last Words" "I Don't Love You" And "Teenagers". The Black Parade Has Received Generally Favorable Reviews And The Band Achieved Its First Number 1 Single In The UK With "Welcome To The Black Parade". The Album Debuted At Number Two On Both The Billboard 200 And The UK Albums Chart And Is Also Certified As Platinum By The RIAA As Well As A Platinum Certification In The UK And A Gold Certificacion In Argentina By The CAPIF And In Chile By The IFPI Chile.
