There Are At Least Four Bands / Acts Called UXB. 1. UXB Were An English Punk / New Wave Group From Walsall In The West Midlands. They Formed In 1978 And Released One 7-Inch Single In 1980 'Crazy Today' / 'Mr. Fixit'm Which Was Played On BBC Radio 1 And Local Radio Stations. The Band Played Several Gigs In The West Midlands But Split Up In 1981. They Reformed In 2001 After A Revived Interest In Their Single Which Was Featured On A Compilation Album 'Bored Teenagers Vol. 2'. The Band Subsequently Played At A Few Punk Festivals In 2005-06. 2. The U.S. West Coast UXB Was One Of Nearly Four Dozen Northern California And Nevada Bands Featured On The Faulty Products Distributed Alternative Tentacles LP NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. UXB Was From The Sleepy Hollow Of San Anselmo In Marin County California. The Bandmembers Consisted Of "Ira Hood" Vocals "Bob" Guitar & Vocals "Bryant Barbituate" Guitar "Bibi Gunn" Bass And "Rik Wreck" Drums . They Put Out An LP Of Their Own Called CRAZY TODAY On Ther Own Crazy Plane Label... After That It's Anyones Guess What Evere Became Of UXB... But Don't Confuse Them With The U.K. Band Of The Same Name. 3. Yet Another Band Called UXB. They Appeared On The New York's Hardest Compilation And Featured Roger Miret Of Agnostic Front. UXB Is Assumed To Be A Reference To The First Agnostic Front EP 'United Blood'. 4. UXB Is The Name Under Which Pete Morgan Of Noisebox And For A Couple Of Years In The Early 90s Dominic Varle Performed And Recorded Under. The Early Material Can Generally Be Described As Ambient Techno With A Fw Breaks Thrown In For Good Measure And Probably The Most Prized Track Is "Sexy Satie" A Reworking Of Gymnopédies By Eric Satie Which Repeat And Modifies The Piano Refrain. UXB Had Several Releases As Part Of Compilations On Noisebox Records Chiefly NBX001 A White Label Which Also Featured Tribe Of Ssenkrad Volcanic And Resistance And More Ambient Material Appears On Mechanical Paradise With Faceless Toxic Frequency And Alpha Seven. An Expanded Line-Up Of UXB Appeared At The Opening Of The Virgin Megastore In Norwich But Eventually It Just Became A Vehicle For Pete's Instrumental Ambient/electronic Music. Pete Has Continued To Write And Record Under The UXB Name To The Present Day Now Releasing Material On Burning Shed. Previously Pete And Dominic Were The Bushbabies. read less
