Artist Biography For Ty Kellogg

Ty Kellogg's Music Reflects Everything About The Young Man Simple Determined Gritty Strong And Steady. When Asked About His Musical Path Kellogg Said "it Took Me A Long Time To Figure Out My Musical Identity. For A Long Time I Was Writing Songs And Music That Was Very Forced And Very Elementary. I Was Listening To A Lot Of Indie-Acoustic Stuff And Metal And Hardcore And I Think Musically I Was Very Confused." "It Finally Started Coming Together When I Started Listening To What I Was Raised On - Old Country And Old Rock N' Roll. I Really Got Into Johnny Cash And Hank Williams And Everything That They Listened To - Old Gospel Blues Hillbilly Boogie-Woogie." After Taking A Swig Of His Wild Turkey And Tea He Takes A Look At The Wall Shakes His Head And Said "I Knew That I Wasn't Going To Be Some Blazin' Guitar Player That Knew Every Scale And Could Sing Like A Bird And Write Beautiful Catchy Love Songs. I Understood Early On That If I Became Famous That It Would Be A Freak Accident. My Songs Are Sad They're Angry And Sometimes They're Just Borderline Depressing - But I Have Fun. I Have Come To Conclusion That Music Is Just Recycled - It's All The Same Concepts And Story Lines And The Only Thing That Changes Are The People In The Story And The People That Are Telling It. " Before Leaving The Bar I Asked Ty If He Had Any Goals Or Aspirations Musically. "I Would Like To Learn A Few More Chords And Tricks - Old Blues And Old Country Lines Maybe Record Another Album And Release It On Tape And Vinyl. I Really Just Want To Be That Old Guy With A Long-Ass Beard Sitting On His Wrap-Around Porch Playing His Banjo Or Playing With Some Jug Band And All Of The Little Kids And Neighbors Wondering "what The Hell Is That Guy Playing? It Sounds So Twangy - It Must Be Broken!"" A Smile And A Deep Laugh Emerged From Behind His Beard And It Was Clear That This Young Man With A Twinkle In His Eye And A Single Dimple On His Face Was As Sincere And Genuine As They Come And Regardless If You Liked His Music You Could Only Hope They Are More Out Their Like Him.
