Artist Biography For Troubles

Troubles Were An Experimental Electronic Band Dabbling In Lo-Fi Eno-Esque Ambience With Later Releases Showing More Instrumental Post-Rock Influences. The Band Formed In 2005 As A Side Project Of Hope Of The States From Whom Sam Herlihy Michael Eran Hibbert Mike Siddell And Simon Jones Were Recruited. They Were Joined By Artist Joel Clifford And The Open Guitarist Jon Winter. The Band Self-Released Their Double Album "First" In 2006. The 28 Track Record Moves Around Three 'Troubles Angels' Worry Sparks And Tired And It Was Sold At Gigs During The 2006 'Slow Down Or Die' Tour. Following The Dissolution Of Hope Of The States In August 2006 And A Brief Interlude To Record What Would Later Be Released As The Dark Houses Album Troubles Became A Full-Time Band Adding Trumpeter Dave Hopkin And Producer Jolyon Thomas. The Band Signed To Rough Trade And Released The "Sen'taur" EP/mini-Album In 2007. A Full UK Tour Took Place In February To Help Promote It. They Performed Some Dates Supporting ILiKETRAiNS And With Tim And Sam's Tim And The Sam Band With Tim And Sam. Second Album "Wolf" Was Released In 2008 Containing Shorter Songs And A Leaner Melodic Sound. Troubles Reverted To Side-Project Status After The 2008 Tour As Members Formed Indie Bands Spiders And Then The Northwestern Recording And Releasing A Few Low-Key Troubles Records Along The Way. After The Northwestern Split In 2011 A Final Troubles Single Was Released On ITunes "1605". Sam Herlihy Would Later Release A Solo Album In 2015 Under The Name U. S. Drifts Before Conclusively Retiring From The Music Industry.
