This Is A Band From Back Around 1965-66. They Did A 45 Record That Read Shandels The Fabulous Four Sean 2 Toms And Joe. The Lead Singer Sean Ryan Was Born In Ireland I Believe And Moved To Mount Prospect In The 60's. He Also Played Bass Guitar. The Two Tom Included Tom Blomquist On Drums. Tom Is An Award Winning TV Writer And Producer. He Also Directed Two Of Kelly Coffey's Music Videos. He Now Is A Professor At A College In CA. Tom Nyquist Was The Other Tom. He Played Guitar And At And When The Shandels Broke Up He And Joe Stanley Formed A Band Called The Young Gentlemen. They Became One Of The Chicago Area's Favorite Bands. Joe Is Joe Stanley. He Lives In CA And A Few Years Ago He And Tom Blomquist Joined Together In A Band Called Mid Life Crisis. The 45 Includes Two Songs Mary Mary And Caroline. All Of The Band Members Went To Prospect High School In A Northwest Suburb Of Chicago. They Are Not To Be Confused With A Band From Wisconsin Also Called The Shandels Who Did A Song I Think Called Go Gorilla Or Something Like That. The Shandels Were A Favorite All Around The Midwest. Sean Who Now Lives In Petosky MI Continues To Play Today. He Is Involved With The Progression Of Folk Music And His Greatest Success Is Being Able To Play On Stage With His Son Who Follows In His Dads Footsteps. They Started A Group Call The Petoskey Steel Drum Band That Works With Youth And Is Now All Over The Area In Michigan. All In All The Shandels Continue To Provide Entertainment In Different Venues.
