Consisting Of Founders/twin Siblings Eva Walker On Guitar/vocals And Cedric Walker On Drums The Blues- And Punk-Based Dynamo Continuously Project Subversion Power And The Potential For Something New On Stage. Born And Raised In Seattle WA They Credit Their Family's New Orleans Roots As An Influence On Their Music And Writing. ​ During The Past Year The Band’s Name Has Been On The Tongue Of Nearly Everyone Who Follows The Richness Of Seattle Music. In 2018 The Group Opened For Death Cab For Cutie At The Historic Paramount Theater During Its 90th Anniversary Celebration Became The Most Played Band On KEXP On The 50th Anniversary Of Martin Luther King’s Assassination With Their Song “The Key Of Black They Want Us Dead ” And Performed At Countless Summer Festivals From Doe Bay To The Capitol Hill Block Party. The Black Tones Have Also Shared Stages With Standout Groups Like Thunderpussy Tacocat Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio And We Were Promised Jetpacks. ​The Black Tones Have Made Appearances On Band In Seattle And The Spud Goodman Show As Well As Having Music Licensed To The Independent Film "The Noise Made By People". They Have Received Praise From The Seattle Public Library System The Stranger And AfroPunk.
