Sibelian Was Formed Around The Turning Of The New Millenium By Stephen Svanholm. He Had Ten Years Previously Played Lead Guitar In A Funk Metal Band Releasing Two CDs And Touring Extensively. After This He Had Gone On To Study Classical Music At University And Then Specialise In Singing At Music College. After Leaving Music College In 1999 Stephen Started To Put Some Musical Ideas Down In His Home Studio And This Archaic Music Began To Develop Into The Project Today Known As Sibelian. The First Few Months Of 2000 Were Spent In India And Nepal And Fired With New Inspiration And A Desire To Create A Universal Music Form Unbound By Cultural And Geographical Boundaries The Music Of Sibelian Rapidly Evolved Upon His Return Incorporating Modern Rhythms And Loops As Well As Field Recordings For The First Time. Sibelian Is Now Based In Stockholm And After Three Demos The First Album Is Called The Soul Rush.
