Artist Biography For Sally Strawberry

Sally’s First Professional Work As A Vocalist Came In The Form Of A Session With Popular Act Saint Etienne In 1990. Sally’s Confidence Continued To Grow As She Worked With A Variety Of Live Bands Until She Met Dance Duo Surge In 1997. After Writing And Recording Together For Just A Couple Months Millennium Records Expressed Interest In The Trio’s Work And Eventually Released Cold Air A Surge/ Strawberry Original. Their Cover Of Gershwin’s Summertime Was Also Released As A Single And On A Number Of Dance Compilations. Sally Later Decided To Continue Her Work With The Band As A Session Artist Thus Leaving Herself Free For Other Projects. This Yielded A Couple Of Well Reviewed Singles And Air Play On Pete Tong’s Essential Collection XFM And A Number Of Other Radio Programs. In 1999 Sally Met Music Programmer Ned Douglas. Ned’s High Profile Client List Includes Top Artists Such As Dave Stewart Mick Hucknall Atomic Kitten And Blue. Ned’s Reliable And Professional Backing Tracks Provided Sally With A Platform To Develop Her Own Bluesy Writing Style. The Result Of Which Was An Album Worth Of Ambient Laid Back Tracks Very Much Suited To Sally’s Deep Seductive Yet Wistful Vocal Style. Sally Used This Chance To Perfect Her Technique In The Studio And Found That Working On The Tracks Gave Her A Renewed Confidence As Well As Providing Professional Evidence Of Her Vocal And Artistic Abilities. Sally’s Recently Worked On The European Blues Circuit. Her Tours In France Have Included Festivals In Beauvais Belle–Isle–En–Terre And Cognac
