Richard Boulanger B. 1956 Is An American Composer And Professor Of Electronic Production And Design At Berklee College Of Music. He Works As An International Lecturer Author Performer And Consultant In Music Synthesis. Boulanger Holds A Ph.D. In Computer Music From The University Of California San Diego Where He Worked At The Computer Audio Research Laboratory CARL At The Center For Music Experiment. For Many Years He Worked Closely With Max Mathews And Barry Vercoe Conducting Research At Bell Labs CCRMA MIT Media Lab And IBM. His Students Include Elaine Walker. In 1999 Boulanger Authored And Edited Canonical Computer Music Textbook Titled The Csound Book For The MIT Press. Boulanger Premiered His Original Interactive Works At The Kennedy Center And Performed His Radio Baton And PowerGlove Concerto With The Moscow Symphony Orchestra And Kraków Symphony Orchestra. The Artist Also Appeared On Stage With The La Jolla Symphony Orchestra Boston Symphony Orchestra San Diego Opera Orchestra And Other Ensembles. In 2012 He Found Boulanger Labs – A Small Company Of Musicians And Developers Making IOS-Applications Based On The Csound Language. They Produced CsGrain And CsSpectral Effects Processors And CsTouch Framework For IPad Equipped With A Collection Of Synthesis DSP And MIDI Instruments And Allowing To Render Process Compose And Perform With Csound. With BT Boulanger Has Published A Csound-Based MUSE App For Leap Motion Controller.
