Born And Raised In Birmingham Alabama Nekaybaaw Spent Much Time In Her Room Listening To Various Genres Of Music And Singing Along To Countless Classics. It Was Then She Would Realize Her Passion And Desire To Be Engulfed Into The Womb Of Sound. Her Journey Into Sound Would Consist Of Learning To Play The Piano At Age 6 A Member Of An R&B Group During The 90s Studio Recording/background Vocals Songwriting Etc. Not Content With Being Just Another Member Of A Group Nekaybaaw Began To Explore Other Areas Such As Music Production Along With More Songwriting. Giving Credits To 1998 As The Year Her Consciousness Shifted Into The Realm Of Wanting More Control Over Her Creative Endeavors And The Need For No Holds Barred Expression Nekaybaaw Made The Decision To Leave Birmingham & Her Group To Pursue The Adventures & Experiences Life Had To Offer. Landing In Dallas TX And Has Since Lived In Los Angeles & Atlanta It Was In Dallas That She Was Able To Explore The Arts Of Music Production Spoken Word And Photography. Unwilling To Place One Creative Medium Over The Other Has Afforded Nekaybaaw With A Broad Range Of Talents That Have Allowed Her To Work On Projects Such As Freelance Writing Film To A Wide Variety Of Music Production Projects. Blessed With The Experiences Of Having Lived In Various Cities Throughout The US Provides Nekaybaaw With The Necessary Tools Needed For Her To Create Vivid Landscapes Via Music.
