Jackie And The Rippers Are A Western Sydney Band That Merrily Combines Indie Pop Pop Punk Blues And Grunge. It All Started In The Early Summer Of 2010 When Tara And Luke Who Had Been Playing Sporadically Together The Two Years Previous Decided To Make It Official And Thus The Rippers Were Born.They Went Onto Play Their First Show As "Jackie And The Rippers" With An Acoustic Guitar And A Drum Kit And Both Singing At Various Points Of The Set. That Night They Impressed The Sound Guy So Much That He Wanted In And With Mitch Onboard They Became An Unstoppable Force Sharing The Roles Of Songwriting And Instrumentation. The Band Went On To Play Many Gigs Both In Their Local Areas And In The Heart Of Sydney.
More Recently To Complete The Rippers Line Up The Band Went Looking For An Extra Set Of Guitar Playing Hands And Found Their Friend Jake To Be The Perfect Guitarist To Complete The Band. The Four Piece Are Back To Their Regular Gigging And Are Ready To Bring Some Excitement Humour And Rocking Tunes Into The Music Scene. The Band Can Be Found Practicing In Luke's Garage And Tara's Uni Or Gigging In Various Venues Around Sydney Playing Songs To Friends And New Fans Alike. They Are Currently Gearing Up To Release Their Long Awaited Demo Which Will Be Released In The Near Future. With A Sound That Combines 70's Punk 80's New Wave 90's Alternative And 00's Blending Of Genres They Plan To Make The 2010's Hear All This And A Whole Lot More. read less
