Israel Lights Were A Romanian Neo-Psychedelic/indie/post-Rock Band Formed In Late 2007 In Bucharest. The Line-Up Consists Of Liviu Guitar Keyboards Vocals Mihai Guitar Vocals Hasan Bass And Claudiu Drums .
Their Sound Is Often Credited In The Romanian Scene As Being Quite Innovative And Original And Since Their Live Debut In Nov. 2007 Israel Lights Have Performed In Many Of Bucharest's Clubs.
In Oct. 2008 Israel Lights Released Mirrors Their Debut 4-Track EP Featuring The Songs Backtracking The Great Escape The Things You Love Will Destroy You And Trapdoors. The 24-Minute EP Was Released In Partnership With One Day Blog And Has A DIY Aesthetic Being Available In MiniDisc Format Handmade Packaging And Given Freely At Different Gigs In Bucharest. Mirrors EP's Musical Style Is Reminiscent Of Post-Rock Acts Like Explosions In The Sky And Blends Indie Rock With A Touch Of Psychedelia While Evoking Oniric Images And A Cathartic State Of Mind Especially In The Things You Love Will Destroy You Which Is A Perfect Example Of Emotional Climax.
The Members Of Israel Lights Have Stated In Various Occasions That They Don't Like To Be Labeled Just As A Post-Rock Act Instead Opting For Influences Like Rolling Stones Radiohead And Other Various Indie/psychedelic/post-Rock Bands.
Since Late 2008 Until April 2009 Israel Lights Have Been On Hiatus The Members Even Considering To Put An End To Their Musical Project. Luckily They Returned To Stage On The 4th Of April As Opening Act For Post War Years And We Can Only Hope That Their Musical Endeavours Don't End Here. MySpace read less
