Flemming Jørgensen Was Born 7th February 1947 In Randers. Died 1 January 2011 At The Age Of 63 From A Stroke. Flemming Jørgensen Was Famous In Denmark As A Vocalist And For His Personality. His Hometown Aarhus Will Especially Remember Him Fondly. Flemming "Bamse" Jørgensen Came By Chance Into Show Business In The Mid-1960s When Some Friends Were Missing A Bass Player In The Pigtraad Band Les Marques And He Was Later Vocalist In The Same Group. The Group Later Called Themselves "Perkings Lee" Played The Top Ten Club In Hamburg. In 1973 He Formed Bamses Venner Who Made Their Debut With The Single "Blodtud" And In 1975 They Had Hits With"Rend Og Hop" And "Vimmersvej" A Danish Remake Og "The Lion Sleeps Tonight That Became A Signature Tune . Later They Had Several Hits In A Lightweight Humorous Pop Style Including "I En Lille Båd Der Gynger". In 1980 They Won The Danish Eurovision Entry With The Song "Tænker Altid På Dig." Bamses Venner Has Played Denmark Thin Through The Years On Especially The Provincial Scene Of Local Festivals And Summer Events . In 1999 Flemming Bamse Jørgensen Released The Solo Album "Stand By Me" And Somewhat Later In 2010 The More Personal "Tæt På". Flemming Jørgensen Has Also Had Film Roles In Which He Has Shown Other Sides Of Himself Than The Jovial Big Happy Singer With Suspenders. He Has Proved Himself As A Soulful Vocalist On His Solo Offerings Especially Creating A Counterweight To His Image As A Party Musician.
