For Five Years 2004-2008 The Members Of Changing Directions Were Working Hard To Bring Their Unique Brand Of Music To The New England Scene And Beyond. Hailing From The Big City Of Bridgeport CT They Grew Up Together Listening To All Different Styles Of Music Spanning From Metal To Pop And Even Rap. As The Guys Grew Older They Started Various Punk-Rock And Hardcore Bands That Would Eventually Gain Strong Local Followings. Although All The Members Loved Heavier Music They Began To Feel Limited By Their Respective Genres And Wanted To Take A Step Out Of The Box. Thus Changing Directions A Hybrid Of Poppy Choruses Melodic Guitar Work Technical Beats And Even The Occasional Down Tempo Sing-A-Long Was Born. After Years Of Constantly Writing And Playing To Dedicated Fans Changing Directions Established Themselves As A True Up And Coming Band Who Took Pride In Putting On An Exciting Live Show. They Have Been Honored To Share The Stage With Other Recognizable Acts Such As Fall Out Boy Brand New New Found Glory Pennywise Mest Scary Kids Scaring Kids Allister Hatebreed And A Handful Of Popular Local Bands From The New England Scene. As A Whole The Band's Influences Ranged From The Starting Line Saves The Day Fall Out Boy To The Black Dahlia Murder Shai Hulud And Comeback Kid. Changing Directions Jumped At The Opportunity To Play Any Show They Were Offered Whether It Be A Basement A Hall Or A Venue And Went Out Of Their Way To Befriend Everyone Who Went To Their Shows.
