Founder Members Martin Thompson Guitar And Richard Todhunter Drums Were Joined By Joseph Meacock Guitar Vocals And Andrew Slater Bass Vocals . They Started Writing Their Own Material From The Word Go And The First Thing They Did Was To Lay Down A 4 Track Demo Is The Day Which Was Greeted With Great Reviews From Local Press. With Their Huge Fanbase Dedication And Absolute Talent And Flare For Music Call Of Duty Are Definately Set To Go Far! Sophie Flitcroft BBC Blast Reporter Call Of Duty Started Playing Their First Shows At Local Band Nights In Kendal In September 03 With Their First Gig Being In Front Of A Crowd Of 150 To Which They Received Good Reviews And Laid Much Of The Foundations For What Was To Come. Four Months Later January 04 Saw Them Playing To A Packed Out Crowd At The Brewery A Large 450 Capacity Venue Which Has Seen The Likes Of Chumbawumba Grace Its Stage. 2 Months Later They Were Back Supporting Kerrang Award Winners No Comply And Failsafe Formerly Duckhunt . A Bit Strange To See Call Of Duty Up First But Compared With Most Of The Usual Opening Acts They Played Full Of Confidence And Showmanship And Received A Lot Of Love From The Crowd Many Of Whom Usually Come To Local Gigs Specifically To See Call Of Duty. It Was The Usual Walk In The Park For The Arnside/Grange Love Grungers And Their Newer Songs I Have To Say Were Outstanding Showing A Lot Of Promise For The Future Of The Band. Papscene.Com Review In The Meantime They Have Been Playing Up And Down The Country Supporting Such Varied Acts As Captain Everything 3 Stages Of Pain 27 5 Knuckle Sounds Like Violence Steel Rules Die And The Fight And Have Been Reviewed By Both Local And Nation Zines And More Recently The BBC. As I Listened With Complete Amazement I Kept Thinking 'why The Hell Arent Call Of Duty Signed' - They're Absolutely Fantastic! The Lyrics Are Written And Performed With So Much Emotion You Can Really Relate To Them. Not A Cover In Sight - I Got To Hear Some Fantastic Original Material.
