Abecedarians Were A Los Angeles Based Trio Active In The Mid To Late 80's. Chris Manecke Guitar Vocals Keyboards Kevin Dolan Drums And John Blake Bass Specialized In Reverb Heavy Synth Driven Post-Punk Songs. Manecke's Rich Vocals And Unusual Lyrics Were The Most Distinctive Aspects Of This Little Known Band. In The Mid 90's Abecedarians' Chris Manecke And John Blake Formed First Men On The Sun Along With Jason Toney On Drums. They Released A Self Titled Album On Southwest Audio Reproductions In 1995. Their Sound Is Very Similar To Late Abecedarians.
