William Gold More Widely Known As Wilbur Soot Is An English Musician And Lead Vocalist For The Indie Rock Band "Lovejoy." He Is Also A Twitch Streamer And YouTuber Being A Former Member Of The Group Channel "SootHouse" And Creating The Mysterious Editor Wilbur ARG. He Began His Music Career In 2018 By Creating Various Comedic Songs. In 2019 He Released A 13 Minute EP With Four Songs "Maybe I Was Boring ” “For Memories ” “White Wine In A Wetherspoons ” And “It’s All Futile! It’s All Pointless!” The Latter Of Which Was Remastered On Lovejoy's Second EP In 2021. His First Official Project "Your City Gave Me Asthma " Was Released On June 25th 2020. He Also Released A Few Parody Songs In 2020 With "Your New Boyfriend" Being The Most Successful One Charting On Spotify And In The UK Singles Chart At #183 And #83 Respectively. It Also Debuted At #2 On The Spotify Viral 50 Chart And Sold Over 500 000 Units In The US. His Final Parody "Soft Boy " Was Released On September 26th 2022 As A Tribute To His Fans. Adding Onto That On November 30th 2023 At Exactly Midnight Wilbur Released An Album Called "Mammalian Sighing Reflex" On Spotify. Wilbur's Music Takes Influence From Artists Like Los Campesinos Crywank Arctic Monkeys And Other Indie Rock And Bedroom Pop Bands. These Days He Focuses On Lovejoy.

“Losing Face” Is About Wilbur Soot Getting Broken Up With His Partner And Being Told To Wait For Them Only For His Ex To Immediately Get A New Partner. He Expresses His Self-Doubt And Jealousy Caused By The Breakup. He “loses Face” While Spiraling Over Alcohol And Self-Indulgence In This Song The Song Reading As An Angry Message Just For Her. It Was First Revealed In June 28 2018 In Twitter. On November 7 2021 During A Twitch Stream 36 55 Wilbur Revealed That First Few Verses And Choruses Were Written While Wilbur Was Drunk Hence Their Angry Tone While The Outro Reflects His Genuine Feelings Afterwards Thinking Back On This Relationship. It Had A Late Demo Released On Google Drive In July 15 2019. It Was One Of The Seven Exclusive Songs That Wilbur Gave Out To A Few Fans. The Demo Doesn't Sound That Much Different From The Final Product Though It Is A Bit Different. The Original Name Of The EP Was "Cocaine Makes You Boring". The Song Is Also The 4th Song In The Album Your City Gave Me Asthma Which Was Officially Realeased In June 25 2020.
