Artist Biography For Wax & Wane

At First A Song Writing Collaboration Between Two Original Members Turned Song Writer's Collective Wax & Wane Eventually Evolved Into A More Formal Performing Band In Baltimore During The Winter Of 2003 And Settled On A Consistent Roster Of Four Members. On The Band's First Self-Released EP Aptly Named Winter For The Season It Was Written In And Later Released Was A Collection Of 9 Songs Evenly Written And Led By Each Member Of The Group A Precedent For Wax & Wane Backed Up On Their Latest Recordings. Winter Was Well Accepted By Its Limited Listening Audience And Drew Reviews Such As "...Nine Kinda Creepy Song Snapshots Like Blurry Polaroids Full Of Spring Colors And Smiling Faces And Something Just Not Quite Right About Them" -Baltimore City Paper. The Band's Songwriting Is Very Organic And Fluid Inspired By Nature Et Cetera. Wax & Wane Draws Elements Of It's Own Sound From The Lo-Fidelity Folk Movement Of Past American Artists As Well As From More Staple Performers Of The Mid-Century Folk Revival That Came Out Of Britain.
