Artist Biography For Tristan Keuris

Tristan Keuris October 8 1946 - December 15 1996 Is A Dutch Composer. He Received His First Composition And Theory Lessons In Amersfoort With Jan Van Vlijmen And Later He Studied At The Utrecht Conservatory With Ton De Leeuw. In 1969 He Received The Conservatory Prize For Composition. Firstly He Taught Theory At The Groningen Conservatory Later On Composition At Conservatories In Hilversum And Utrecht. In 1976 He Received The Matthijs Vermeulen Prize For His Orchestral Work Sinfonia 1972-74 . Another Orchestral Work Movements 1981 Became A Repertoire Piece Of The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra And Brought Him International Success. Keuris' Writing Style Was Aimed At A 'regain Of Melody And Harmony'. He Is Often Explained As An Artist According To Which Composing Arranging And Instrumenting Can't Be Seen Loose From Eachother. He Developed Himself To One Of The Most Important And Interesting Dutch Composers.
