The Red Krayola's Follow-Ups Never Lived Up To The Success Of Their Debut But Always Broke New Ground And Foreshadowed Different Alternative Rock Genres.

Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Pink Stainless Tail

Pink Stainless Tail Is The Staple Psychedelic Garage Rock Song From The Red Crayola’s Debut Album. The Incessant And Turned Up Sound Of Steve Cunningham’s Bassline Speak Of The “post-Punk” Movement As Much As The Album’s Opener “Hurricane Fighter Plane” Does. The Lyrics Here Continue Mayo Thompson’s Abstract And Surrealist Brand Of Poetry. Rick Barthelme’s Drumming Also Stands Out As More Complex Aggressive And Energetic Than On Any Other Song On The Album The Speed He Takes Up Mixed With The Frantic Bassline Foreshadow The Punk Rock Movement Of The Late 1970s. Pink Stainless Tail Would Go On To Be Covered By The Late ‘80s Noise/industrial Rock Band Hailing From New York City Called Barkmarket. Additionally The Track Is Also Sometimes Associated With A Band Hailing From Melbourne Australia Who's Name Derives From The Song.
