Tired Of Depending On Other People To Play Music Sergi Concieved The Destroyed Room As A Solo Project To Enjoy Recording His Own Songs At Home In Barcelona. After Two Years Writing About Girls Alcohol And The Fear Of Wasting His Life Away He Decided To Team Up With A Couple Of Friends To Form A Real Band In The Last Months Of 2008. Víctor Reaction-Reaction! Golpe Mortal And Borja Who Played With Sergi In Molokai For Two Years Joined Him In This Adventure. In Only A Year They Released Two Records. First Came Cringe For Two Years In... Their First 8 Song EP And Three Months After A Split Record With Friends Of Shortfin Mako Shark. In An Effort To Share Their Music They Released A Free Download Compilation In June 2009 Called The First Six Months Wich Featured Two Versions Of 1989 And It's All Happening. After A Couple Months Of Writing New Material And Playing Shows They Released A New EP The Eastern Winds In The Spring 2010. Later In July The Same Year They Gave Away By Surprise An Online 3-Track Release Entitled Circle Of Friends EP. They Planned To Release Their First Full-Lenght Album At The Beginning Of 2011 But It Was Then Delayed Until It Was Finally Released On March 23 2012. The Record The Magic Indian Scene Was Possible Thanks To The Crowdfunding System Provided By Verkami. The Destroyed Room Play Music Along The Lines Of The Replacements Armchair Martian Jawbreaker Lucero Drive-By Truckers The Shins Etc. The Eastern Winds Is A More Folkie And Relaxed Record Than Their Previous Works But Otherwise Circle Of Friends Recovers A Bit Fast And Agressive Yet Acoustic And Folk Sound With The Magic Indian Scene Mixing Up A Little Bit Of All Of Their Characteristic Sounds From Harmonnica And Banjo To Powerful Guitars And Energyc Drumming. read less
