Artist Biography For Sopa De Cabra
Sopa De Cabra Was A Successful Catalan Rock Band Of The 90s And Early 2000s. Formed In 1986 In Girona They Are Considered Together With Sau Pop Els Pets Pop-Rock And Sangtrait Metal The Founders Of The "Rock Català" Movement. Sopa's Lead Singer/lyrics Gerard Quintana And Lead Guitar/lyrics Josep Thió Have Paralleled Solo Successful Careers. In 1991 In The Height Of Their Popularity They Recorded A Double LP Part Of It Live "Ben Endins" Deep Inside Which Became A Platinum Disc In 2000. With The Release Of Their Ninth Album "Nou" Meaning Both Nine And New They Regained Their Popularity. A Couple Of Singles Were Hits In The Local Radio Stations. In 2001 They Published Their Last Album Before Break-Up "Plou I Fa Sol" Sunny And Rainy Although They Kept On Playing Live And Publishing Some Live And Acoustic Albums Until 2003.
