Mother Nature by Saluki Regicide & Mystified

Artist Biography For Saluki Regicide & Mystified

Saluki Regicide And Mystified Have Recorded Collaborative Albums Three Times Thus Far The First Being "Ancestral Technologies" In 2004. Straddling The Line Between Mainstream Electronica And Ambient These Works Incorporate Drones Rhythms And Samples Presenting A Seamless Blend Of The Best Characteristics Of Both Artists. "Ancestral Technologies" Is A Concept Album Of Sorts With The Tracks Being Inspired By Past Inventions From The Mighty "Ziggurat" To The Mind-Bending "LSD" From The Practical "Electric Stoplight" To The Pointless "Spider's Ladder" . And In The Execution Of These Compositions The Artists Sought To Convey Impressions Rather Than Illustrations Of The Technologies. Thus The Work Is Less About The Inventions Themselves Than About The Mind's Experience Of The Inventions. The Results Are Often Dreamy Almost Shamanistic. "Razor Pilgrimage" Is The Second Collaboration And It Is Credited To Mystified & Saluki Regicide Which Has Its Own Page On Last.Fm. "A Foreign Installation" Is The Third Collaboration Between Saluki Regicide And Mystified. This Time The Concept Is Unique One Is Assigned All Frequencies Below 1kHz And The Other Gets Everything Above. The Upper And Lower Halves Were Not United Until The Final Mix And Then Only Adjusted For Compatible Levels And Fades. Thomas Park Of Mystified Brings Into His Work Equal Doses Of Illbient Minimal Industrial Ambient Experimental And A Handful Of Other Esoteric Styles And To Good Effect. C.P. McDill Of Saluki Regicide Seeks To Bend Time And Space Or At Least Soundwaves To Do His Bidding. Webbed Hand Records
