Coming From The Washington D.C. Area Ryan Fontanilla Is An Acoustic Guitar Player And Musical Artist. He Plays All Original Music Reminiscent Of Musicians Such As Michael Hedges And Kaki King. However He Takes A Slightly Different Approach Towards Traditional Acoustic-Instrumental Song Writing Focusing On The Incorporation Of Various Strings Woodwind Electronic And Percussion Instruments. Ryan Incorporates Multiple Instruments Into His Songs In Order To Give His Listeners A Completed And Diverse Experience. He Seeks To Change Traditional Acoustic-Based Music By Introducing The Song Structures Concepts And Ideas Of Melodic/progressive Metal Into To His Songs Thereby Conveying A New Aesthetic Typically Not Explored In Fingerstyle Music. He Firmly Believes That The Best Art Possesses The Ability To Touch The Extremes Of Human Feelings And Thoughts At The Same Time Conveying Both The Joys And Tragedies Intrinsic To Human Existence. With This In Mind He Reaches Out To The Observer To Think And Experience With Him Through His Heart And Mind. Recording With Producer Dave Mallen Of Innovation Station Music Ryan Has Just Completed His First Album Black Spring Due Out In Early Summer 2010.
