Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Street You Live On

"Street You Live On" Is A Song About Escaping A Toxic Relationship By Literally Avoiding Your Ex. Remi Talks About Using Physical Distance As A Method To Not Come Back To Her Partner. She Made A Statement About The Song's Inspiration In A Press Release "I Wrote Street You Live On With This Beautiful Man. His Name Is Ethan Gruska. He’s A Fantastic Musician And Producer And Songwriter And I’ve Been A Fan Of His Work For A Very Long Time. So It Was So Just Amazing To Get In The Studio With Him.
We Wrote This Song Together On The First Day We Ever Met And It Was Just Like One Of Those Sessions And Like That Was Just Awesome And We Just Got Along So Well And The Song Came Out So Quickly. The First Day We Got Like The Chorus And The Verse And We Got All The Melodies Down And Then I Think We Went In Another Time And Kind Of Finished It Up ‘cause We Really Loved It And It Was Just A Good Day Of Writing. I Was In A Relationship At The Time Or Actually I Wasn’t In A Relationship At Te Time. I Had Just Exited A Relationship That I Had Been In For A While. And I Wrote The Song About Avoiding That Person 'cause I Had Just Gotten Back Into L.A. And They Lived In L.A. And I Was Just Trying To Avoid Any Sort Of Triggers. And So Yeah I Kind Of Wrote About That." – Remi Wolf MTV Push "I Love This Song. I Made It With My Friend Ethan Gruska Who I Had Just Met For The First Time The Day That We Started Writing This. I Had Been A Fan Of Him For Six Years. I Think He’s A Genius. This Is The Closest I’ve Gotten To A Ballad Thus Far In My Career Which Is Cool Because I Think That I Need That. I Believe It’s One Of My Most Well-Written Songs On The Record. We Kept Joking That It Sounds Like The Bee Gees Meets Like Alex G. When You Listen To This Song You Feel Really Sad But You Also Feel Happy. There’s Like This Undeniable Nostalgia To It." — Remi Wolf Via Apple Music
