ORNITHOS Is A Project Featuring Three Prominent Members Of IL BACIO DELLA MEDUSA Whose 2008 Stunner "Discesa Agl'inferi D'un Giovane Amante" Is One Of The Seminal Releases Of The Post-2000 RPI Genre. The Origins Of The Band Go Back To 1999 And Predate IBDM By A Few Years. Things Began To Take A More Serious Form Around 2007 When Eva Morelli Joined With Founders Diego Petrini And Federico Caprai. Three Additional Members Antonello De Cesare Simone Morelli And Maria Giulia Carnevlini Have Joined The Fold In The 4 Years The Band Have Been Writing And Recording Their Debut. At The Very Heart Of ORNITHOS Is A Clearly Stated Goal Of Pure Freedom Of Musical Expression. The Band's Symbol Is The Ibis And The Name Also Reveres Thoth Who Was An Egyptian God Of Knowledge And Writing. The Sound Of The Band Is Varied And Subtly Different From IBDM Featuring Plenty Of Heavy Jamming Occasional Nods To Fusion And Prominent Flute And Saxophone.
