Dr. Murat Salim Tokaç Was Born In Kırıkkale In 1969. He Graduated From Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty In 1992. He Started To Take The Ney And Ud Tutors From His Father Dr. Turgut Tokaç Who Is Also A Neyzen At The Age Of 5. He Was Tutored In Playing The Tanbur By Selçuk Sipahioğlu A Performer At Ankara Branch Of TRT For A Short While At The Age Of 11. Having Been Tutored By Both Mentioned Above He Improved His Both The Ney And Tanbur Techniques By Himself Via Just Listening To The Reputed Figures. He Has Been Inspired By Cinuçen Tanrıkorur Who Is An Ud Performer And Composer About All Subjects Of The Turkish Music. He Was Appointed As The Ney And Tanbur Performer To The Ministry Of Culture's Samsum Classical Turkish Music Ensemble. He Carried Out Several Concerts With Chorus Gave Recitals And Participated Several TV Programs In Turkey. He Gave Concerts With Serveral Groups Gave Solo Recitals And Seminars On The Ney And Tanbur In All European Countries USA Japan South Korea Malesia Armenia And Russia As Well. He Performed Solo Ney And Tanbur With Cinuçen Tanrıkorur And Fahrettin Yarkın For A CD Called "FASIL" Produced By "Le Chant Du Monde" In France In 1995. He Was Rewarded With The Title Of The Man Of The Year In Music By The Black Sea Industrialists And Businessmen Association In 1998. He Made A Solo Album Called "Gençlik Hülyâları" Produced By Beyza Müzik In 2000. In The Same Year He Performed The Ney And Tanbur With "Group Lâlezar" For An Album Consisting 4 CD Called "Ottoman Turkish Music Anthology" Which Is Produced In Both Turkey And USA. He Is Still Working As A Performer At Samsun Classical Turkish Music Ensemble. In Performing "the Ney" The Roughest Sound Is Called As "dem" Or "dem Breathing". In Addition As "dem" Is A Criterion Of Maturity Former Teachers Have Started To Practice With Their Students After Dem Sounds Being Matured. Therefore "dem Breathing" Is Accepted As An Maturity Among The Neyzens The Ney Players . In Nature The Closest Sound To The Human Sound Is The Ney Sound. The Reason Of The Deep Influence Of The Ney Sound On The Humans Is That And It Is Desired That The Behaviours Of The Performers Of Such An Instrument Be Consistent With The Ney And The Concepts That It Expresses As Well. In This Album How A Ney Learner Is Raised And The Stages That A Neyzen Passes Through Are Desired To Be Explained Musically.
