MOTHERFATHERS Are An Experimental Rock Band From Moscow. Formed In 2006 By Dmitry Peitsch Vocals Guitar Windbones Pipes Effects And Max Elizarov Guitar Synthesizer Samples Programming The Project Initiated As A Studio Vehicle To Disfigure Noisy Alternative Electronics With Classic Rock Riffs Old Psychedelic Trips And Sweet Pop Sensibility. Under The Name KILL GEORGIA BITCH The Duo Wrote And Recorded Over 20 Tracks Before Olga Nosova Drums And Mikhail Makoseev Bass Have Joined The Project. The Four Switched The Name To MOTHERFATHERS As The Band Didn’t Want To Be Associated With Ongoing Anti-Georgian Political Campaign Of That Time And Start Assaulting Local Clubs With Their Weird Epatage Indefinable And Destructive Blend Of Avant-Garde Music. Their Very First Big Scenic Appearance Shocking Performance At Post-Soviet Noise Pioneers Festival In November 2006 Brought Them Notorious Reputation Among Event-Managers As Well As Enormous Popularity Among Both Mad-Cap Juveniles Well-Grooved Young Ladies And Deep-Seated Intellectuals.
In November 2007 Band’s First Official Full-Length Called Kolchak! Was Released By Russian Independent Label R.A.I.G. The Album Received Positive Reviews From Local And Foreign Alternative And Mainstream Press Russian Versions Of Rolling Stone Billboard Review At Crucial Blast Website And So On . Since Then The Band Continues Actively Performing Including Appearances At Several Big Independent Music Festivals And Releasing New Material Including Distant Military Break EP And Compilation Album Sbornik. Alexei Borisov One Of The Founding Fathers Of Russian Industrial Music Also Known For His Collaborations With KK Null Dave Phillips And Much More Was Featured Among Band Members In 2008-2009. As Well As The Other Members Of The Band Are Participating In Lots Of Underground Extreme And Experimental Bands.
