Frogtoon Music - Song Info: CHICO

"Chico" Is A Playful And Flirtatious Track With A Hint Of Political Undertones. The Lyrics "Se Tu Me Quiseres Eu Debato Política E Tomo O Teu Partido" Can Be Translated As "If You Want Me I Can Debate Politics And Take Your Party." In This Context Sonza Is Using Political Language As A Metaphor For Seduction And Attraction. She Is Suggesting That If Her Lover Desires Her She Can Engage In Deep Conversations And Cater To Their Desires. The Phrase "debato Política" Implies That Sonza Is Willing To Discuss And Engage In Intellectual Conversations. It Suggests That She Is Knowledgeable And Capable Of Holding Interesting Discussions Perhaps Using Her Wit And Intelligence To Captivate Her Lover. Additionally The Phrase "tomo O Teu Partido" Translates To "take Your Party". This Could Be Interpreted As Sonza Aligning Herself With Her Lover Supporting And Embracing Their Choices Values And Desires. It Could Also Represent A Play On Words As In Politics "taking Someone's Party" Means Supporting Them Politically. Overall "Chico" Portrays Luísa As A Confident And Intellectually Stimulating Individual Who Is Offering Herself To A Potential Lover. The Song Combines Playful And Flirtatious Lyrics With Political Metaphors Creating A Unique And Enticing Dynamic. Less Than A Month After The Album's Release Singer Luiza Sonza Gave An Interview On The Main Morning Program On Brazilian Television Stating That She Had Been Betrayed By Chico And That The Relationship Had Come To An End.
