Twilight Waltz Is The Debut Solo Record From Acclaimed Minneapolis Singer-Songwriter Luke Zimmerman Set To Be Released December 2 2005. A Talented Wordsmith Zimmerman Has Been Compared To Some Of Popular Music’s Most Enduring And Venerated Artists. Seamlessly Blending Country Jazz And Rock Twilight Waltz Marks A Leap Forward In The 27- Year Old’s Artistic Development. With Overtones That Ache Of Deserted Fields And Industrial Back Roads The Record Coherently Straddles The Lines Between Heartache And Longing Disappointment And Optimism Harmony And Disharmony. Born And Raised Around Minneapolis Minnesota Zimmerman Was Reared On Music. A Classical Pianist In His Early Days He Soon Became More Interested In Drawing And Painting Than Music Graduating College With A Degree In Studio Art. Soon After Zimmerman Co-Founded The Crow River Band. Co-Produced By Randy Casey Who Also Contributed Lead Guitar Tracks And Released In January 2003 The Crow River Band’s Self-Titled Album Contained A Mix Of Late-60’s Europop Country Alt-Country And Blues-Rock All Tied Together With Zimmerman’s Facile Wit Intelligent Rambling And Heart-On-Your-Sleeve Realism. In The Summer Of 2003 The Band Fell Apart. Continuing To Play Shows As A Duo With Drummer Andy Hertel Zimmerman Wrote The Songs That Would Become Twilight Waltz. With Hertel Zimmerman Returned To The Studio In October 2003 Again Co-Producing With Randy Casey. Filling Out His Studio Band Were Minneapolis Pros Steve Price On Bass And Peter J. Sands Of The Honeydogs On Keys. This Began A Two Year Odyssey In And Out Of The Studio Where Life Events And Musical Analogies Blurred Into One And Often Times The Players Weren’t Sure If Art Was Imitating Life Or Vice Versa.
