Ljubica Marić 1909-2003 Is Considered To Be The Most Original Serbian Composer Of The Twentieth Century And Musically The Most Influential One. She Was The First Composer In The History Of Music Who Systematically Used The Modal System Of The Byzantine Orthodox Church Music To Compose Non Liturgical Works. Ljubica Marić Developed Her Authentic Style By Using The Byzantine Church Music Within The Post-Expressionistic Idiom. All Her Compositions Are Inspired By Her Personal Philosophy Based On Taoism. Ljubica Marić Was Also One Of The First European Female Conductors Who Developed Her Career Between Two World Wars. She Was Also A Poet A Painter And A Sculptor.
