Grupo Límite Also Just Límite Is A Mexican Norteño Band And Was Led By Singer Alicia Villarreal Until She Left To Be A Solo Singer. The Band Debuted In 1996 With The Record Por Puro Amor Which Sold Over A Million Copies. The Album Featured Singles Such As "Vete" "Quiero" And "Te Aprovechas." Other Subsequent Albums Were Successful.
In 2000 They Teamed Up With AB Quintanilla Of Selena And Kumbia Kingz Fame Which Resulted In The 2001 Release "Soy Así" With "Ay! Papacito Uy! Daddy " Released As The Lead Single They Reached A Bigger And Broader Audience Managing To Break Through Within The U.S. Latin Radio And Spanish Speaking TV Music Channels And Garnering A Substantial Amount Of Radio Airplay. The Band's Sound By Then It Was Less Focussed In The Norteño Aspect And More Emphasis On Merging More US Latin American Influences Like Tropical Urban And Latin Pop. In 2002 Alicia Villareal's Profile Had Become So Big In México That She Decided To Part Ways With Límite Few Months Into The Promotion Of "Soy Así" And Backed Up By A Multi-National Record Company And In The Middle Of Various Gossip-Fodder-Scandals She Released Her Debut Album In 2002 To A Considerable Amount Of Success. Within A Couple Of Years Villarreal's Success Would Decline While Simultaneously Límite Tried Their Hand At Continuing Playing With Several Different Vocalists Both Female And Male.
