Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Cryogenic Froese

As The Title Suggests This Track Makes Musical Reference To The Old Compositions Of Edgar Froese. It Was In Fact Started As An Exploration Of The Mellotron String Flute And Choir Sounds So Ubiquitous To Tangerine Dream's 1970s Space Music. However As The Composition Evolved Other References Seeped Into The Song Until It Transformed Into A Sound Reminiscent Not So Much Of Tangerine Dream As Klaus Schulze One Of Emdot's Seminal Influences. Cryogenic Froese Begins With A Cold And Arctic Feel With A Plaintive Mood And Minimal Instrumentation Electric Piano Sparse Mellotron Strings And Boys Choir And A Lone Flute Melody All Backed Up By Swirling Synthesized Wind Effects. As The Piece Progresses However The Mellotron Strings And Choir Build In Intensity Until A Crescendo Is Reached And The Track Bursts Into A Bitter-Sweet Meditation On Synthesizer Arpeggiation And Melody.
