Emanuel Scheek Paramaribo - Suriname January 1991 Mainly Known By His Stage Name “E.A.S.” Is A Surinamese Rapper/MC Songwriter Entertainer And Commercial Writer. With Dutch English And Sranan Tongo Surinamese Creole As His Languages Of Choice Specializing In Poetic And Realistic Writing E.A.S. Mainly Creates Hip Hop Often Merged With Other Genres For Both Mainstream And Underground Hip Hop And Cross-Genre Music Fanatics. 2005-2006 First Encounter E.A.S. First Came Into Music Singing At The Age Of Seven. At The Age Of Eleven After Discovering His Feel For Hip Hop He Started Writing His Own Lyrics But Had His First Public Performance In 2005 At The Age Of
fourteen When He Wrote And Performed The Theme Song “110” For The Surinamese Fire Department During Their Annual Fire Safety Campaign “Tan Faya Basi” On Surinamese National Television. In Suriname This Was The First Awareness/promotional Fire Safety Campaign Combined With A Hip Hop/rap Performance. The Campaign’s Success Lead To The Request To Write And Record A Short Rap Radio Commercial For The Local Distributor Of Stimorol Chewing Gum. This Commercial Is Currently The Longest Aired Rap Jingle/rap Commercial On Surinamese Local Radio Because It Is Aired Every Friday To Date Since Its Release. 2006-2008 In 2006 Rekemo Suriname N.V. Approached E.A.S. To Create And Write The Majority Of Their Radio And
television Commercials. He Is Currently Still Connected To Rekemo Suriname N.V. For The Promotion And
launching Of Their Products And Services. From 2006 To June 2008 E.A.S. Took A Two Year Break From Public Performances And Appearances To Focus On Writing And Recording Songs For His Promotional Album “Sta Op” And An Additional 20 Copy “Sta Op Limited Edition” Which He Independently Launched On The 14th Of February 2009. In November 2008 He Took Part During The “Rapstafette” Hip Hop Workshop Hosted By MC Complex Where He Wrote Lyrics To Music Provided By Rick “Delarick” Van Der Bult Of Jetset Productions/Morgan Avenue Music And Resulting In The Song “Eendracht Maakt Macht” With Grätl Blokland And Lil’Turbo. This Song Has Only Been Heard At Two Live Performances. During The “Rapstafette” End Presentation December 2008 In The Orange Blues Bar And At Crime Jazz January 3 2009 In Fort Zeelandia. 2009-2010 On February 14 2009 E.A.S. Independently Launched His First Promotional Album “Sta Op” And An Extended Version “Sta Op Limited Edition”. Mainly Produced By Darryl “Darryl Nevin|Recon” Tsai-Meu-Chong And Recorded At Chetskeys Productions Featured Artists Like Jaïr “JB” Boerenveen Rachidi “Chidi” Sanches Roger “B.O.C” Van Bochove And Savero “SaGa” Gallant. The “Sta Op” Album As E.A.S. Put It‘ Offered An Exclusive Insight Into His Life’ Saying That He Transformed His Thoughts Experiences And Feelings Into Lyrics Enabling Him To Fit Them On Beats. On February 20 2009 E.A.S. Had His First Live Radio Interview On Radio SRS During The Friday Night Hip Hop Show “The Boombap” Hosted By Brian “Mr. Double-B” Blinker Former Member Of The Surinamese Hip Hop Duo Lyrical Forces. During The 2hour Program E.A.S. Discussed His Album His Motivation In Music The Inspiration Behind The Lyrics And The Choice Of Beats. In July 2009 E.A.S. & Mr. Double-B Decided To Collaborate And Feature Two New And Upcoming Artists By Writing The Single “Mijn Ziel Is Muziek” Which Was Launched With Music Video In 2010. E.A.S. And Mr. Double-B Still Remain Close Friends And Colleagues Till This Day. August 8 2009 E.A.S. And Mr. Double-B Together With The Stichting Twisted Dance Did An Opening
performance For The Dutch MC’s Ali B Yes-R Darryl And Sjaak During The Sensual Summer Edition. January 2010 E.A.S. Mentioned That He Was Working On An Album But Later Said That The Album Had Been Put On Hold. Weeks Later He Shared The News That He Had A Started Working With A New Producer Randell Bakker And That He Was Set To Work On His New Album. October 2010 E.A.S. Performed At The Suriname Tourism Festival Along With Dancers Darey-Ann "Dare" Louisville Barbera Oppenheimer And Roël Pinas In A Combined Rap/Dance Hip Hop Performance. In 2011 E.A.S. Decided To Add A New Dimension To His Music And Started Mixing Underground Hip Hop With Drums And Flows From Other Genres. On December 30 2011 E.A.S. Hit The Studio With The Dutch MC Jaja Where They Wrote The Still To Be Released Dutch Single "Ogen Spits" Said To Be Featured On E.A.S.
upcoming Album. 2012-Present Day The First Officially Released Single From E.A.S. Upcoming Album Was Recorded On May 26 2012 And Officially Launched In Suriname On May 30 2012 During The 4-6 Radio Mix At Radio ABC Hosted By MC Olu "The Young One" Abena. The Single "Glue" Is Produced By Darryl "Darryl Nevin" Tsai-Meu-Chong And Features The Dutch MC Vince Franklin Of Marklin Productions. The Single Has Since Aired Locally On Radio ABC Radio Apintie SCCN Radio Radio10 Radio1 And Internationally On HipHop FM & Callywood Radio USA Power102 FM Trinidad & Tobago & BBC 1Xtra Radio UK . Although A Music Video For The Single Has Been Recorded It Has Not Been Released. On October 1 2013 E.A.S Did A Short Surprise Performance In The Winston Kingdom Amsterdam The Netherlands During Live On The Low. This Short But Strong Performance Sparked The Interest Of Fellow Mc’s From Poland And Switzerland To Collaborate With E.A.S. And Also Created An Opening Into Three New Potential Markets.
