Artist Biography For Daycast

Daycast Is An American Post-Rock Band That Was Formed In Early 2005 In Fort Lauderdale Florida. The Band Started As An Experiment Involving Different Sounds Riffs And Chord Progressions Created By Members Individually Or Composed By The Band As A Whole. The Band Was Originally Comprised Of Pianist/guitarist Brad Harris Guitarist Renato Pasqualini And Drummer Brian Robl. Although Renato Was An Original Guitarist With Daycast His Style Of Playing And Writing Did Not Work Well With Brad And Brian's Method Of Writing. Renato Soon Left The Band To Pursue His Own Musical Interests Elsewhere. Brad And Brian Continued To Compose Music Together While In Search Of A Bassist And Frontman/vocalist. After Multiple Auditions Thomas White Joined As The Band's Bassist. The Three Began To Write Music For The Band's Debut EP "From This Union." In Early 2006 Brad Met Vocalist/guitarist Carmen Curro. After Multiple Rehearsals With The Band And Some Discussion Carmen Joined And The Lineup Was Complete. The Band's First Goal At This Point Was To Finish The Writing And Recording Of The Five Track EP. Vocal Tracks Were Recorded And "From This Union" Was Released In June 2006 Under High Speed Records Brad's Record Label. A Limited Quantity Of 300 Was Printed. The Sound Of The EP Was Compared To Acts Such As Coldplay And Keane While Also Drawing Comparisons To Radiohead. Upon Completion Of The Record Carmen And Soon Thereafter Thomas Left The Band In Order To Attend College. Brad And Brian Were Back To Step One. At This Point They Started Rehearsing With Violinist Morgan Miller And Began Working With Strings In Their New Music. Brad And Brian Continued To Listen To More And More Instrumental Music And They Made A Decision That Daycast Would Permanently Be An Instrumental Band. A Close Friend Of Brian's And Long Time Fan Of The Band Guitarist/trumpeter Michael Balakonis Attended A Few Rehearsals. His Musical Taste And Way Of Constructing Songs Worked Well With The Band's And Soon Enough Mike Joined Daycast. Together The Three Began To Refine Daycast's Sound. Brad Began Composing String Arrangements For Their New Material And Brian Began To Experiment With Electronic Samples And Such. As The Band's Sound Evolved And The Writing Of Record Number Two Continued So Did The Search For A New Bassist. The Search Ended In Late 2007 When Bassist Max Zinser Came On Board. Once Again The Lineup Was Complete. The Four Have Just Recently Completed Their Full Length Record "Finding Our Way Home." The Album Features Everything From Lush Moving String Parts To Powerful Break-Outs. The Album Is Widely Available Across The Internet. Booking Daycastbooking@yahoo.Com
