There Are Always More People That Want To Hear John Mogensen Than Emmylou Harris. Of Course There Is Nothing Wrong With That I Just Didn’t Want To Play John Mogensen Any More. At The Same Time Some New Records Began Appearing In My Record Collection. Emmylou Harris Lucinda Williams Johnny Cash To Name Just A Few. There Was Something About Their Music I Just Couldn’t Ignore. Since I Was A Kid I’ve Been Crazy About American Music. I Still Remember As A 10 Year Old Lying Ad Crying As I Heard The Introduction To The River By Springsteen. Country Music Has Always Been Regarded As ’bad Taste’ In My Musical Universe However I Have Discovered That There Is No Such Thing As Bad Genre Just Bad Music … And There Is A Lot Of Bad Country Music Just As There Is Bad Rock Music. But When You Dig Deep And Find Real Country Music You Find An Honesty And Melancholy Which I Can't Find In Other Types Of Music. At Some Stage I Visited A Friend In Copenhagen. This Friend Had Got An Unusual Job Looking After 75 Empty Flats. I Moved Into One Of The Empty Rooms And Wrote My First Country Song ‘Missing You’ And ‘Let Me Be.’ Suddenly I Found Out That I Had ‘come Home.’ With This Type Of Music I Could Express Myself Freely And As I Wanted To. read less
