"Collothen" Monker Of Ambient And Experimental Electronic Composer Colten Tyler Williams. Collothen Makes His Home In Oregon Where Is His Studio Resides. Collothen Released "Translation" On Xynthetic Netlabel Based Out Of Vancouver B.C. Colten Was Living In Vancouver Studying Electronic Music Production And Film Scoring Where And When The Release Was Put Together For Xynthetic. This Release Is Full Of Gorgeous Soundscapes Subdued Rhythms And Static Drones. Colten Played Guitar And Programmed For The Heavy Experimental Band Vihara And Released The Album Stand Fast In 2006. After Vihara Decided To Call It Quits Colten Started To Focus On The Collothen Project Writing Ambient And Experimental Electronic Music.
Collothen Has Done Tracks For Xynthetic Netlabel's Second Statement Compilation As Well As Illphabetik's Second Compilation. His Second Release Entitled "Frenetic" On Decisive Sound Records Was Released August 11th 2009. This Release Is Completely Different From Translation With The Exception Of "Lunevk".
This Release Is A Heavy And Dark Collection Almost Industrial At Times. It Shows A Completely Different Approach And Ability Collothen Has To Writing And Producing Experimental Electronic Music.
