Close II You Was A Dutch Girl Group Created By Producers Eeg Van Kruysdijk En Ed Van Otterdijk Inspired By The Spice Girls’ Popularity. In August Of 1996 Natascha Scheffers Sascha Koninkx Nadja Nooijen Arlice Beeldsnijder And Marsha Van De Berg Formed The Original Line-Up. In 1997 Close II You Debuted With “Nice & Nasty” Which Became A Minor Hit On The Dutch Official Top 40. Bigger Success Came With The Follow-Up “Baby Don’t Go” Which Soared To #4 And Was Certified Platinum. Its Music Video Proved To Be Very Popular. The Single Also Crossed Over To Other European Countries. In 1998 The Girls Released Their Debut Album Closer. The Album Debuted At #9 On The Dutch Album Top 100 And Went On To Peak At #8. It Later Received A Gold Certification For Selling More Than 50 000 Copies. The Album Finished As One Of The Biggest-Selling Albums Of The Year. It Was The Most Successful Album By A Dutch Girl Group Since The Heydays Of Luv’ And The Dolly Dots. Success Continued With The Top 10-Hit “Somebody”. In Late 1998 Koninkx Left The Group At The End Of 1998 Officially "because Of Health Related Issues". The Follow-Up Singles Flopped On The Charts. In May 2000 Van De Berg Left The Group After Which Koninkx Was Asked To Return. But Only Four Months After The Switch Flissinger Decided To Leave. In 2001 The Girl Group Disbanded. Three Girls Tried To Re-Launch Themselves As Girls Together Outrageously Which Failed To Make Any Impact.
