Breakwater II Is The Creation Of Chris Papadopoulos A 2nd Year Medical Student At New York College Of Osteopathic Medicine. He Grew Up In Mattituck A Small Town On The North Fork Of Long Island The Band Name Breakwater II Is Actually Inspired By The Name Of A Rocky/seaweedy Beach Where Chris Spent His Summers . Chris’ Influences Include The National The Strokes Band Of Horses Wolf Parade And Pink Floyd. The Songs On "And It Goes" Were Written Between 2008-2009 During Chris' First Year Of Medical School. Medical School Is An Extraordinary Experience. Discovering The Intricacies Of The Human Body Is Fascinating And Rewarding However It Can Leave You Feeling Exhausted And Isolated. These Mixed Emotions Along With Longing For Old Friends Prior Relationships And The Past As A Whole Are Ever Present On “And It Goes.” In Chris’ Eyes The Past Is A Simpler Time A Sun-Soaked Hazy Memory He Wishes He Could Revisit But Knows Is Impossible. A Note About The Songwriting- Lyrics Are Always Secondary To The Music As Chris Believes The Music Can Describe The Intangibles Of Life And It Is These Intangibles These Skeletons Of Memories That He Wishes To Capture With This Album.
