Frogtoon Music - Song Info: 28 Days

This Song Was Written And Recorded In The Summer Of 2009. The Lyrics Were Put Together On A Delayed Plane Journey Back From Italy With The Music Being Being Added And Recorded A Week Later. Based On A Storyline From TV It Is Written About A Drawn Out Break Up Between Two People Taken From The Perspective Of A Guy Who Just Doesn't Have The Guts To Make The Decision. In The Beginning He Is Looking Back Over The Past 28 Days And How Much Has Happened. He Ends Up Getting Caught In The Memories Of How Indecisive He Was. He Regrets Not Talking To Her Properly At One Point Even Trying To Just Abandon Her On A Crowded Street And Get Away. She Takes The Decision In The End With Him Realising He Was Wrong All Along But With No Way To Turn Back. The Recording Was A Very Slick Process With All Recording And Mixing Completed Within A Week. The Acoustic Guitar Was DI'd Looking To Emulate The Sounds Of Sixto Rodriguez Who Has A Very Sharp Acoustic Sound. This Is The First Song In Which Plate Reverb Has Been Used Heavily To Give It That 60s Space And It Really Helps To Add Some Colour To The Guitar. The Bass Was Added At The Last Minute To Really Push The Song Forward And To Offer A Different Melody To The Vocal.
