Artist Biography For Arboretus
Arboretus Is The Solo Project Of Hampshire United Kingdom Based Multi-Instrumentalist Alex Fawcett Also Known As The Guitarist/vocalist Of Oceanus. The Sound Draws Mainly On Guitar-Based Ambience Shoegaze Drone And Post-Rock Amoungst Many Other Influences. Arboretus In Its Current Form Was Conceived By Alex In The Lonely Autumn Of 2009. The Sole Purpose Is Almost One Of An Autobiographical Sense - In That The Music Is Designed To Paint A Picture Of Memories Nostalgia And The Daily Ups And Downs Of Life - No More No Less. Arboretus Seeks To Expose The Beauty In The Simplicity Of All Things Be It A Fragment Of Happy Memories Or An Overwhelming Dread On The Horizon. In June 2010 Arboretus Contributed One Track Featured On The Hawk Moon Records Volume I Compilation.
