48westway Doesn’t Happen Very Often. When It Does It Always Involves Julien. But Mostly It Also Involves Alex And Alan. Yanni Has Been Fundamental To Its Development But Hasn’t Always Been Able To Be There. Kerrie Also Plays A Big Part Lately Certainly Since Saturnalia - As Has Ian. Ian Is Like Alan They Understand It And Contribute Very Well In The Recording Sessions. Yanni Is Indispensable And It’s A Shame He Can’t Make It All The Time. Kerrie Came To It Sceptical At First But Has Really Warmed To The Ideas. Alex Jumped In With Both Feet From The Moment He First Discovered It. Julien Has Found His Place In Many Ways Because Of It. 48westway Have Performed 9 Recording Sessions Since 2002 Each Of Them Improvised Across A Set Of Sound Stations – Instruments Or Anything Capable Of Making A Noise Fed Through Whatever Outboard Equipment Can Be Found. These Recordings Are Then Cut Up Messed Up And Stitched Back Together By Julien Into Cohesive Pieces. These Finished Pieces Are Then Collected Together As “conspiracies”. There Have Been 6 Finished Conspiracies So Far. The Latest And 7th The Birthday Conspiracy Was Recorded In 2010 And Is Still Being Edited And Compiled.
