Wounded Rhymes Is The Second Studio Album By Swedish Recording Artist Lykke Li Released On 24 February 2011 By LL Recordings. The Album Was Produced By Björn Yttling Of Peter Bjorn And John Who Also Handled Production For Li's Debut Album Youth Novels 2008 . Li Spent Six Months Writing And Recording The Album In The Echo Park Neighbourhood Of Los Angeles While Visiting The Desert Examining Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1973 Film The Holy Mountain And Listening To Field Recordings By Alan Lomax. She Eventually Came Up With The Songs As She Calls "hypnotic Psychotic And More Primal". Li Unveiled The Album's Artwork And Track Listing On Her Official Website On 14 December 2010. Throughout Its Release The Album Produced Four Singles. "Get Some" Was Released As The Album's Lead Single In Sweden On 22 October 2010. The Second Single "I Follow Rivers" Premiered Exclusively On SPIN On 10 January 2011 And Was Released Digitally In Sweden On 21 January 2011. The Single Charted Inside The Top Five In Several European Countries. "Sadness Is A Blessing" Was Released As The Album's Third Single On 13 May 2011 Followed By The Fourth And Final Single "Youth Knows No Pain" On 23 September 2011. Wounded Rhymes Received Acclaim From Music Critics Who Viewed It As An Improvement On Its Predecessor.
