Love Is A Battlefield And I'm Waving The White Flag by The Ron Jeremy War Machine

Artist Biography For The Ron Jeremy War Machine

Here's Our Story Up To This Point - In My Senior Year Of High School I Had Come Into Possession Of A Digital 8-Track Recording Device. I Then Embarked On Two Separate Musical Projects - One Was Loud Propulsive And A Suitable Outlet For My Youthful Aggression This Would Later Become Juvenescent Beat! And The Other Was Just Me And An Acoustic Guitar. My Cannabis Addled Mind Formulated As A Name For These Gentle Folky Tunes 'The Ron Jeremy War Machine'. For The Next Two Years Juvenescent Beat! Became My Prime Area Of Focus. The War Machine Would Rear Its Head Sporadically Starting In 2008 When I Decided It Was A Good Time To Parody The Cutesy Indie Folk Thing That Had Become Popular In The Wake Of The Movie "Juno". In 2009 I Wrote A Series Of Angry Break-Up Songs That Were Mostly Just For Fun And To Vent Some Emo Boy Frustration. Later That Year When Juvie Beat! Performed An Acoustic Set In Ashley's Kitchen I Wrote A Few More Songs And Performed Them At The Opening Of The Show. Pretty Much Every Song Up To This Point Was Scrapped And Exist Only In The Confines Of My Memory. Starting In Mid-2010 After Juvie Beat! Decided To Call It A Day I Reasoned That It Would Be Much Easier To Just Write Some Rudimentary Acoustic Pop Songs And Perform Them Solo Than To Actually Go Through The Trouble Of Finding A New Band. I Wrote A Bunch Of Them Recorded 4 With John Eline During The Summer And Later 3 More With Rick Lybarger. I Did A Short Tour Through The Midwest Which Really Amounted To Two Shows And A Lot Of Partying In Covington KY . In The Winter My Friend Tristan Gosnell Was Kind Enough To Loan Me Some Of His Recording Equipment At Which Point I Recorded A Great Many Demos. I Played A Few More Solo Shows Locally. It So Happened In May That Ashley Had Set Up A Show At The Reader's Cafe For Her Birthday. As A Gift For Her And Everyone Else In Attendance That Night I Enlisted The Aid Of Rick Chris Lawrence And Pat McKim And We Rocked The Night As A Full Band. We Are Focusing Mainly On Recording As Far As The Band Goes. I Still Play Shows Solo.
