Driving Rhythms On His Amplifies Acoustic Martin Guitar Are Augmented By His Energetic Three Piece Band Ring Of Fire. Rusty’s Son Danny Plays A Hot Rockin’ Lead Guitar While The Bass And Drums Create A Powerful Pulse That Drives Folks Right To The Dance Floor. A Two Month Tour Of Australia And New Zealand In 2001 Another Tour Of Europe In 2002 And The Release Of His CD “I’m Comin’ Home ” Placed Rusty Evans In The #2 Position Of Most Played Indie Country Artist On The European Charts. In The 1960’s Evans Wrote And Produced The Third Bardo’s Underground Classic “I’m Five Years Ahead Of My Time.” In 1997 The Song Found Its Way To The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Top 100 Songs For The 30 Year Anniversary Of The Summer Of Love. He Graduated From New York’s School Of Art And Design And Has Been Painting Drawing Printmaking And Making Music Ever Since. His Artwork Is In Numerous Museums Around The World. Early Musical Endeavors Include Performing On Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Jamming With Bob Dylan In Greenwich Village Touring With The New Christy Minstrels And Working With Renowned Producer Phil Spector And Producing/recording For CBS Reprise And Folkways/Smithsonian Record Labels. A Meeting With Johnny Cash Has Strongly Influenced His Singing And Has Shaped The Sounds Of Ring Of Fire. Rusty Evans Performed At Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium In A Tribute To Legendary Country Singer Kitty Wells.
