Owen McCullum Was Born To An American Military Family In France And Raised In England And The United States. He Has Made His Home In The Town Of Cortez In South West Colorado. He Started Making Music At The Age Of Three Years Old And Due To The Encouragement Of His Mother Went On To Study Music At What Is Now The Anglia Ruskin University In Cambridge England. Due To His Classical Music Training He Cites A Number Of Classical Composers In His List Of Influences Including J.S. Bach Through To Aaron Copeland. He Admires Many Contemporary Artists Also. Vangelis Enya And Lisa Gerrard To Name Just A Few. His Greatest Influences Are The Landscapes Of The American South West Where He Lives. He Draws His Inspiration From Such Places As Monument Valley The Grand Canyon And The Rocky Mountains. When It Comes To His Music Owen Is A Confirmed Anti Intellectual. He Has Stated That His Music Is To Be Felt And Not Thought About. In His Own Words He Says " If You're Thinking About My Music You Are Not Feeling It.
